Screaming JetPacks
An article on CNN recently looked at various technology predictions from many years ago and asked the question, "What happened to all of the things we were promised?" One quote in the article was particularly amusing:
The jet pack, though, has never really taken off, Wilson says. The problem is its practical application. While a rocket belt could propel a screaming human to 60 mph in seconds, its fuel lasted for only about half a minute, "which led to more screaming," Wilson says.
I have to imagine that the journalist was pretty amused with that one.

Too Many Managers in Corporate America
If you've worked in corporate America for more than 5 minutes, this photo is sure to strike a chord. It's always amazed me how some companies stay in business despite allowing their hierarchies to become top-heavy.

I'd give credit for this image if I knew where it came from. Sorry...

I'm hoping to use this Dilbert comic in my next PowerPoint deck!

Take a vacation recently? I'm sure you can relate to this...

I like the second last two items. "Phew. No one noticed you were gone... Does that mean you're useless?"
